The library has a floor area of 621 Sq Mts. which can accommodate about 250 students. The library has Open Access system i.e. users are allowed to stack area and select books by themselves. Books are classified using Dewey Decimal Classification and Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) to search the library database. It is a fully automated and it uses Barcode technology at the Circulation desk for issue and return of books.
The Library has a collection of 13,475 books, and has subscribed to Sixty-nine International and Forty-one national journals and magazines. C.D ROMs, Floppy Disks and Audio Cassettes on various technical topics are also available. Updated study material for students to prepare for examinations such as GRE, TOEFL, CAT, GMAT, IELTS and GATE are made available.
The Library has the LAN version of the NewGenLib’s Automation and Networking software for the library database which consists of all the books, back volumes of periodicals, project reports etc. The database is connected to the campus-wide Local Area Network (LAN) for the benefit of network users in all the departments.
Keeping in view the latest changes in technology we have started a digital library. It provides information to the students about the latest developments in their respective field through e-journals, electronic documents through the Directory of open Access Journals. Access to IEEE online journals is one of the attractions . Eklavya channel programmes and other educational programmes are made available to the students. |
